Impact Windows & Doors
Hurricane-rated windows, sliding glass doors, entry doors and garage doors — approved products, permitted and installed to the wind code for your location.
In South Florida, impact openings are about more than storms: they can lower insurance premiums, cut outside noise and improve security. What matters is that the product is approved for your wind zone and installed exactly as its approval requires. As a general contractor, we handle the permit, the installation and any stucco, framing or interior repairs around each opening.

Choosing impact products
- Product approvals
- Miami-Dade and Broward are in the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone and generally require Miami-Dade NOA-approved products; elsewhere Florida Product Approval applies.
- Insurance discounts
- A wind mitigation inspection after installation documents your openings protection for your insurer.
- Lead times
- Impact products are made to order; delivery often takes several weeks, so plan ahead of storm season.
FAQ
Impact Windows & Doors: common questions
Do impact windows lower my insurance?
Often they can. Florida insurers offer wind-mitigation credits for protected openings. A wind mitigation inspection after installation documents the upgrade; your agent can tell you the actual effect on your premium.
Do I need a permit to replace windows?
Yes. Window and door replacement requires a permit in South Florida, and the products must have the right approvals for your wind zone. We handle the permit and inspection.
Can you replace windows in a condo?
Yes, with association approval. Many condos specify frame color and style; we work within those requirements.
